Privacy Policy

The short version

The installed PitLaunch app does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server. Every setup you create — displays, audio, window positions, applications — is saved in a file on your own PC. There is no account, no sign-in, and no tracking of any kind.

What's stored, and where

Your setups live locally, in %APPDATA%\PitLaunch, on the PC PitLaunch is installed on. That includes:

• Display layouts — which monitors, resolution, refresh rate, and arrangement
• Audio device preferences
• Window positions
• Configured application lists

None of it leaves your machine. PitLaunch has no server to send it to.

No telemetry in the app

The installed PitLaunch app does not phone home to report how you use it. No usage analytics, no crash reporting to a third party, no tracking identifiers. What you do with the app is not PitLaunch's business.

No account required

There is nothing to sign in to. Downloading and running PitLaunch is the entire setup process.

Updates and network activity

The Microsoft Store edition uses Microsoft's Store services to check for and deliver updates. The standalone installer checks GitHub Releases and downloads update files from GitHub. These services receive the network requests needed to provide updates, including your IP address. Saved setups and the local Early Adopter marker are not uploaded by PitLaunch. Optional links open their destinations in your browser.

If paid features are added later

All features are included during Early Access. The app stores a local Early Adopter entitlement and a backup copy in its data folder; no online activation is required. Purchases are not live. A future paid tier may use a Store add-on, account system or a license-key system; that decision has not been made. This policy will be updated before any paid system launches, including clear details about what data is processed, why it is needed, and which service providers are involved.

This website

pitlaunch.net uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visits and how people use the site. Google may process information such as pages visited, referring pages, browser and device details, approximate location, and analytics identifiers, and may store analytics cookies. The site also requests Google Fonts to load the typefaces used in the page design. These services are provided by Google and are subject to Google's privacy policy.

Changes

Effective date: August 15, 2026.

This policy may be updated as PitLaunch gains features, particularly if a Pro tier ships. The GitHub repository and its changelog are the source of truth for what the app actually does at any given time.
